Yellow Watchman Goby blue spots fading?

Hey all, I have a yellow watchman goby in my 13 gallon tank along with a possum wrasse and over the past few weeks I've noticed that my goby's blue dots on his head are fading. You can't really see them unless you look for them now. He's acting totally normal, eating twice a day, and is still bright yellow. Has anyone else had this?

Yea I've heard of them going gray but can't find anything about losing their spots. He looks healthy and is acting normal so I'm not too worried, just curious

Mine turned grey. He lives in the sand with his pistol buddy. Not sure if the shadow life has anything to do with it or not haha
