Hi,

Can anyone tell me why the YWG has black patches on. It tends to show more at feeding. I have attached pictures.

Thanks guys

I don’t think so, I think they all do that to some extent. Mine does
Oh okay, just that I've noticed its increased recently, especially at feeding. Is there any food in particular you recommend for them? It used to eat pallets before but now it only Eats flakes and frozen food. I'm just worried he might not be getting enough.

It's perfectly normal and looks very healthy. Flake and frozen foods are a good diet for it so I wouldn't worry.
These watchman gobies have the ability to vastly change colouration so don't don't be surprised if it turns completely grey and black. It was always said that this change was in relation to their sex but I've had a pair of yellows both go grey and breed before some month later reverting back to yellow again.
