That’s a beautiful Alpheus species. I paired mine with a “boring” Alpheus bellulus.

P.S. the photo was taken from my article on this genus and similar genera against the Valenciennea and similar genera.

Yours seems to be Alpheus bisincisus. I agree with bellulus not being boring, I just wish I saw mine more but my wrasses cause him to hide more so I never see him instead I just hear him.

I can still hear my pistol shrimp and I’m pretty sure I know where it is because I see sand that’s moved around under one of the rocks, but no - haven’t actually seen him for a week now.

Well that's good you're seeing/hearing signs. It's alive and well it would seem. Maybe it'll move again or extend the tunnel to a viewable area. Fingers Xed

I’m trying to get a Randall’s to pair with my Yasha and this shrimp is the most annoying to get out of the LFS. I have never struggled this much with a shrimp to get it out of the tank.
So for now this guy remains alone in the tank.
