I've had an adult for 15 months. Had in QT tank recently to treat gill infection. Back in DT for two weeks, but he built den in the back of a cave behind a rock facing back of aquarium. I barely see him. He went nearly half blind about 8 months ago and had to get food very close to him to see food but that improved some with treatment. It's been hard to tell how much he's eating but he has been eating some.

Should I leave him be or If I disturb his den will it cause him to possibly move somewhere else or who knows?

Don't disturb him. If you're super worried you can try using a turkey baster to target feed, but chances are he is getting enough food

I have a long turkey baster so I'm getting food to him, its a pain in the A. I'll just let him be. He was in the perfect spot prior to QT, shoot.

Boosting the fish's immune system would be great. Consider adding Beta Glucan to the food you feed your jawfish. Mix: Food + Beta Glucan + Focus (binder) + RO to the consistency you like to work with. Below is more info on Beta Glucan:

Thanks! I have some Selcon , does that serve a similar purpose?

You could also try getting something like a pistol shrimp or a dottyback that could pair with it. Many types of pistol shrimp are known for forming relationships with different types of gobies and I have heard of jawfish forming similar relationships with them. I absolutely hate dottybacks because of what one did to my tank when I first started reefing but I have heard they also will pair up with jawfish.

Selcon is a vitamin product I use as well as Beta Glucan to add to food. What I like about BG is it is a more natural product that produces results I have not seen with other vitamins. It completely eliminated Lympho from presenting on my Foxface.
Heck, I take it too.
