We have a yellowead jawfish who is brilliant however since the last week his behaviour has totally changed.
We have had him in the tank about 4 months now and for the last 3 months he made his home burrow under a shell. Always there with his head popping out constantly and eating very well. About a week ago one morning we got up to find him the other end of the tank in the corner just staying in same position. About 30 mins later he disappeared and we didn't see him for nearly 3 days. He then reappeared lying in sand next to rock. He stayed there most of the day and started another burrow. Next day gone again then we found him the next morning in front of tank moving along tank back and forth just above sand. He the disappeared again for a couple of days and has now reappeared again in corner of tank occasionally swimming half way up tank and back down again. He has been there nearly all day today but we have not seen him take any food. He looks absolutely fine with no marks heavy breathing etc we just don't know what could be wrong or why he is behaving like this??
