Sorry to ask a question that has likely already been asked 1000x....
I have been out of the hobby for many years and just getting back in. Before I always used T5s.

Just got a new 75gallon that I want to make a mixed reef with mostly lps.

I have 2 Vipar Spectra 165w. Looking to see what everyone is setting their intensities at for Blue and White and how many hours.
I'm having a hard time finding suggestions on this.
Thanks!

a very specific question. I am no help! But u should put the light model in title of post to catch attention to your specific setup

I would recommend purchasing, renting, or borrowing a par meter. It really does take a lot of the guesswork out when using led’s. That’s would be a good start. I’m not familiar with that light, but I have heard of it. There’s lots of good information out there on spectrum, intensity, spread, and mounting height on several of the popular LED fixtures out there. Most LPS and softies do fine with a Par range of 75-150. Not a hard set number, but a good start. Most will do well in this range. Since every tank is unique, a par meter is your friend. It’s next to impossible to adjust intensity visually.
