Does the outer ring get purple at all under actinics? If so I saw some just like these at my LFS. I'll be up there in next day or two and can ask them if the answer to my question is a yes

I’m not convinced that they are King Midas because the pictures I’ve seen, the tentacles are considerably long with King Midas. The tentacles on what I have aren’t that long.

I’ve been perusing Coralpedia and the closest thing I’ve found is 007 Golden Eye.


Dsdaley, I’m running LED’s and don’t have actinics so I don’t know about the purple thing.

I’m using Coralpedia, and again, I just don’t see King Midas. Is there some other reference I should be looking at? Here’s what Coralpedia has on KING MIDAS and here is what they have on what I think it looks more like…..007 GOLDEN EYE. What am I missing?

I do not have a purple fringe or a purple mouth. The fringe is the same color as the body of the Zoa and the mouth is, if anything, white.

But I still have a problem in that this sitll has a fringe color. No fringe color with the ones I have....all the same color as the body of the zoa.

I don't think the two pics you posted of Golden eye are the same morph. Someone was confused when submitting their pic, very clearly different color skirts. However I do think you have the same as what I am dubbing 'mis-identified goldeneye' you posted a pic of.

Ok, I should have looked before I posted. I thought you were saying that the 'opps edit to add' photo was in the Golden eye folder but I just checked and it is king midas, My apologies for the confusion. They look identical to that photo to me. I'd say King Midas.
