Nice but I like the brightly colored ones soo no idea why a purple hornet is so expensive but fruit loops or rasters I get it

Protopalythoa, will grow super fast like a weed. with higher light will gain better color.

I would have to disagree with the lighting comment- several proto's Ive had have shown much better colors when under less lighting.

Nice look Paly though, and yea, you'll have a nice big mat of them in no time

I would have to disagree with the lighting comment- several proto's Ive had have shown much better colors when under less lighting. Conditions vary, lighting, Kelvin rating of bulbs, attinics used, placement etc. Just like with PD's some do well with lighting subdued while some work well placed high, same with NG's. Put more attinics and that thing will pop like crazy in regards to the purple hue.

Growing like weeds is a understatement they're worse than xenia and GSP's combined

I'd agree...these are the fastest growing coral in my tank...I have the same exact ones in two takes. One group in a 12 gallon with 2x24w pcs and the color is kinda dull. A group is also in my 46 gallon under 2x96w pc's and the color is the same as you have pictured...they're actually really pretty but they tend to overgrow other coral and smother out other palys/zoas...

I repeat it again.

Conditions vary, lighting, Kelvin rating of bulbs ( BE IT T5S/HALIDE/LED/PC), attinics used, placement etc. Just like with PD's some do well with lighting subdued while some work well placed high, same with NG's. Put more attinics and that thing will pop like crazy in regards to the purple hue. Also how the photo was taken etc can affect the looks of the same polyp from ones tank compared to another's
