I’m looking to expand my horizons. I can’t decide between 60 cube or a 65 rectangle. Both have corner overflow and both include stand. Tank and stand together is <$500 for both tanks. Please give an opinion.

I also want to know what lighting you recommend. The cube is 24”x24”x24” and the rectangle is 36”x18”x24”.

Also.... what skimmer, calcium reactor and RO? BTW.... I have the option to by a custom sump/refugium and Vertex skimmer for the cube for $300. Should I or should I order another skimmer and use a 20 gallon tank as a sump? Actually I could buy that sump/skimmer for either tank. Recommendations?

In other words, if you were gonna set up one of these tanks what would be on your wish list?

Personally I'd do the 65. Light it with either a pair of Kessil A360s or a single AP700. Skimmer, calcium reactor are all going to depend on your sump size and design of whichever you plan on doing :) but Reef octopus skimmer would be top of my list. Had very good luck with those. But sadly I have no knowledge on calcium reactors. Currently running two part :)

I would go with 24"x24"x24" because I will need one LED (Radion XR30W G4) then it can cover the whole tank.
With 24" height I can place high light coral at the top and low light or soft coral at the bottom.
But it is no fun when you try to reach the bottom of the tank.
For a small tank, I would go with 2 part dosing instead of calcium reactor
