You might be an ADVANCED reef keeper if....

If you have a tank needing one of these...

When you walk around stores, garage sales, cleaning out the garage,...etc., and look at things and ask yourselft if it could be utilized in the reef/tank system.

...you've finally got your DIY hydrothermal vent fine tuned so you can raise giant tube worms to their full potential.

...one third of your apartment/house contains equipment for your current and former reef tank(s).

...one third of the time you are worried whether Murphy will come out to play when you are on vacation (Murphy's Law).

...one third of the time you are at home you have to fiddle with your reef tank(s) and ignore your spouse two thirds of the time (lol).

When you feed your fish before you feed yourself!!! Even if dinner is on the table.

When you walk past the tropical reef displays at an aquarium and your kids say "daddy, our tank at home is nicer and more colorful than the ones here."

You can explain metal halide and led lighting to an electrician.

Or

You buy new bulbs for the house and check the kelvin rating.

You can tell the spectrum of a fellow reefers tank with out looking at the marking on the bulbs

When you wake up in the middle of the night panicking, because all your fish/coral are dyeing or your tanks leaking, and you realize you were just dreaming, but you still have to go look at the tank to be sure.

cycle a tank in a week, throw in a bunch of sps frags and have them turn into colorful mini colonies in six months....all the while not a single casualty.

You might be an ADVANCED reef keeper if you can't relax completely when you are on vacation because you know your tank is alone at home.
