Very Sweet & rare!! I have a single Purple Death polyp like that & it don't seem to grow at all I've had it for more then year & it won't do anything. Don't know why they do that.

Zoas and Palys reproduce by budding, but they can divide themselves as well. It doesn't happen very often though, nice catch!

I have some Purple Deaths that are doing this, along with some Blue Steels,I dont know what causes it,but mine havent split at all, they are just growing new polyps.I think its cool!

This happens more often than people realize. I have at least 3 frags/colonies in my tank at this time that have splitting polyps.

makes sense considering splitting is another form of coral reproduction, most times budding is the way z's and p's reproduce but cool non the less

I have an utterchaos with 2 mouths too. I thought i was jipped because I paid for a 2 polyp one, but a week later I had 3 babies... so I guess it was good.
