weird...they seem like two polyps that fused, making it unlikely it'll ever split for some reason. Crazy cool

Very Sweet & rare!! I have a single Purple Death polyp like that & it don't seem to grow at all I've had it for more then year & it won't do anything. Don't know why they do that.

I have had some do that and after awhile they split. Wish they would stay like that.

my kids from the tunda are doing great too! smiling when the halides shine on!~
I have some Purple Deaths that are doing this,along with some Blue Steels,I dont know what causes it,but mine havent split at all,they are just growing new polyps.I think its cool!

This happens more often than people realize. I have at least 3 frags/colonies in my tank at this time that have splitting polyps.
makes sense considering splitting is another form of coral reproduction, most times budding is the way z's and p's reproduce but cool non the less
