well I bit the bullet and bought the your choice aquatics dc22 skimmer which is a brand new skimmer that just came out !! Good up to 600 gallons with a dc pump !!

I got a smoking deal on the YCA dc30. Idk how u like it but I'm still undecided. It skims pretty good but for me the down fall is the water leveler plate at the bottom. It's kinda cheap. I know it's a space saver design but I wish it had a conventual pipe valve type water leveler. Something that shows u how open or closed the valve is.

That's the only thing I don't like is the water level plate , but it skims good for me !!

Anybody else with feedback on these skimmers?

Yes, buy something else, lol. Just kidding. It just seems like a skimmer that will have to be replaced sooner than later, so why not get a better one to begin with? That's just my opinion. I don't own one.

I plan to buy the same one.

I bought a dc10 for my Red Sea reefer 250. It’s rated up to 75 gallons (10 more than I need) and most important to me, it fits in the return section. I use my skimmer chamber as a fuge. I was planning to get an external skimmer before I found this one. It pulls good skimmate for me. I don’t use the top off system that comes with the reefer, I switched to a Neptune ATK. This let me raise the water level in the return section a little bit. I’m not sure it would work well without the slight increase in water level height. The slight fluctuation in water level doesn’t seem to prevent good functioning of the skimmer. I don’t think the water height fluctuates more than a 1/4” typically.
