I'm thinking about picking up a Longnose Butterfly for my new 270g FOWLR tank from TSM Aquatics and was looking for some feedback on this type of fish. If you have kept or currently keep one or more of these guys, how has your experience been with them?

CBB. Cleaned up an aiptasia mess years go. I was supplementing with bloodworms. Model citizen that left everything else alone or at least alone enough I didn't see damage. Unfortunately only had it a bit over a year as it didn't survive a 10hour road trip tank move.

This guy? He's done fine. Took him a week to eat good but no drama.

I presently have a CBB. Also devoured any remaining aptasias. Good to see you have live rock in the tank. They pick all day and MUST be fed a least twice a day. With time it could starve to death if you feed too little with a lot of big eaters in you tank. A lot of flow in the tank also is not good as these butterfly fish aren’t the skilled eaters that tangs and damsel etc are. Good luck.
