Your LFS location

Thats the consensus Im getting with Texas
You mean Houston, San Antonio, Austin and DFW.
There are 3 LFS in Corpus. Petco which is OK, Salty Aquarium & Fish which is the best store in Corpus, but the price is a bit stiff, then there is Tropical Fish Haven. Fish is OK but the coral tank is full of disease. Buy at your own risk. Parasitic flat worm all over

How far is everyone traveling to their LFS?
How far are you willing to travel to an LFS?

I travel about 1 hour to LFS and have gone as Far as 2.5 hours.
I have a problem because I'm surrounded by them, 2 of those suckers within a few miles let alone the hundreds of other ones within 15 to 60 minutes.

366 miles.

One way!

Average travel time is about 7 hours but can be 10 if there is an accident or bad road conditions. Going through Denali National Park can be pretty rough but always beautiful.
Usually you plan it with another trip but last time was just for going to LFS and back. Total travel time for that was over 15 hours, 741 miles, 51 gallons of gas, 5 meals, and an overnight stay.

Well worth it.

Our local shop, Aquarium World, is about 10 minutes away depending on traffic. There are others a little over an hour away in Indianapolis or Merrillville.

I drive maybe 15-20 mins to see my guys over at @SouthwestAquaculture. If I'm looking to kill time on a day off or something I'll drive an hour to go check out some other shops, especially if there's some crazy good deals going on.

i actually knew a guy in NY that went to the lfs on rainy days in one of those yellow rain coats , filled the pockets with water and stole fish
About 3 years ago, there was a store surveillance video on R2R of two guys that went to an LFS with soda cups even with straw hanging out and filled the cups with corals and act like they were sipping and walked out - Just WOW

I would travel from Boca raton fl to Kendall fl to visit three aquarium stores on bird road. Well
Over an hour. Right now in Austin tx , a lot of hours flying to visit my son but also visited Austin Aqua farms. Seeing on line great but in person awesome. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the Austin tx area. 10 plus

I live in WIlmington and have a pretty decent LFS about 15 minutes from me. Its called Coastal Reef. Haven't had any issues with my fish that wasn't from my own doing.

The furthest I’ve gone was 2 hours and 50 minutes. And that was for my foxface who is now 4.5 years old.

Currently I travel about an hour and 5 minutes to my LFS.

It’s adventurous when finding fish stores. I haven’t driven hours to a fish store yet and I guess not knowing what’s there is part of the issue.

I want to visit tidal gardens, WWC and other cool coral stores. The problem would be getting them back safely
