I just wanted to see some pics of your favorite LTA. Everybody has BTA and carpets but i dont really ever see anyone with LTA's. I know some of them are really colorful and also quite large.

Lemme see what you got.

Here is mine fromm when it was a baby.

Ill try to get some of it now. its 2 years old now.

Here is a pic I took of a local club members nem and spawning clowns. It is a really bright yellow color much better than the pic shows.

Wow... thats sweet. I like that.

It looks like it attached itself to a rock there. Mine digs under the sand and attaches UNDER a rock.

Its still a nice dark lavender. Ive noticed most are lavender and *insert other color here*.

How old is it, do you know?

I have had it for 6 and a half years. It was medium sized when I got it. In the right light it does have kind of a purple tint.

6 years is a good ole long time. Has it cloned itself or anything? babies?

mines maybe ~9 inches now. I got it at 1.5 inches 2 years ago.

No babies or clones here. I think with LTA cloning itself is a sign of stress. I will be moving it to t5 lighting in about a month, so if it is ever going to happen that will be the time.

well lets hope it stays in one piece then.. lol

Anyone else have any LTA's, Large or small, doesnt matter!

Here is my newly acquired LTA: its a bad pic but I rescued these from a friend whose tank failed and she did not know what to do with them:

the vertical striping on each tentical makes it very unique tho. I have not seen one marked like that before. I like it! I also like how the tentacles curl like that. mine does it "sometimes".

Looks like the first two are in pretty high flow, but mine and the brown one above looks like they chose really low flow spots... i guess even inverts have personal preference.. lol

Actually if you are speaking of mine, I turned the flow off for the picture. He is in a 55 gallon with a mj1200 and a k3. There is a lot of flow in that tank regardless of where he goes. He actually moved into more flow from where I originally put him. But thanks, I like the stripes as well. This thing is huge at least a foot across when its open

oh, well maybe thats why the tents are all curled up... lol. Mine chose the lowest flow spot in my tank. tents barely move at all... hes buried himself all the way under a 13 lb chunk of florida LR and hasnt moved in 2 years.

Do you guys feed yours anything? I dont feed mine directly, but my GSM feeds it half of her food so i dont really see a need.

Mine is in with an 18" chainlink and whatever is left over from his shrimp dinner I feed to the anemone. If the anemone does not take it which so far has been never I plan on cutting up and feeding to my purple tube anemone in my DT. I try not to feed the actual fish too heavily as I am currently not running a skimmer on that tank. the eel produces enough waste already. He eats about 4-5 shrimp every other day.

I know this is a older thread but giving it a bump to increas post!We only have 160 threads in the forum. We need more!

Sorry for the pics being so blurry its hard to take good pics when the anemone moves!

I need to get updated shots! The anemone is now abou t18"inches and my female clown is about 4-5 inches! And much darker also!

Okay.Well actully its not a Bubble Tip or a LTA.It is a Ritteri Anemone.

Austin

Im not so sure its a mag, Just because it purple base doesnt mean its a mag.

There are BTA's with purple bases and green tentacles.

I cant really tell form the pic if its a verracruce but its got a lip leading up to the tentacles like a BTA and i have never seen a Ritteri with that long of tentacles.
