My wife has a Spotcinctus that is 12 or 13. The male went blind a couple of months back and stopped eating until I had to pull him out, but the monstrosity of the female is still swimming. We had a Clarkii that was about 11 that recently died when I moved the tanks 2 weeks ago and he had no heat over night.
My friend Anna had a spotted rabbit fish that jumped out to it's death a couple months ago that was 27.

I had a blue damsel live to be 17-18 and he was huge. He was 5"and was the boss of the tank although not mean.
Now it's my mimic and 3 cardinals going on 5...

Hello all,
So my very first fish, was a naso tang and she is almost 3 years now that I have owned her. (She maybe older but in my care she is my three year baby girl). I named her Madam Marie Monkeybutt, and she is super adorable. She is my only fish that will ask me for seaweed, or hint at it and take it from my hand. She is an amazing acrobat, and I’m sure one of these days she will run into something. When I moved from my 125 to my 240, she was the only fish that survived the move.
When I received my first tank, my parents bought me this naso tang as a surprise. Madam Marie was actually a little smaller than my blue hippo tang in the same picture. She has a very religious daily routine. As soon as the lights come on she comes out of bed, and swims to the top wanting breakfast. After the lights ramp up, she then swims literally all day doing evil kenvil stunts.
When it comes to dinner time, she is always waiting where I always feed. The funnest part is, as soon as the food is gone she goes to bed every time. I won’t see her again lol till morning. She is always super friendly, and actually keeps the peace in the tank between the other kiddos. But she is my adorable baby girl.

Current oldest (coral beauty) has only been with me 1y 9m (one of the first added to this tank; if not the first). Oldest fish I've kept was actually a YWG that made it 11 years in my tank. I actually didn't know it was still alive but I gave the tank to a friend of mine and when we were draining and moving it, the little sucker popped out. Not sure if it survived the move or not but it had a good run either way.

Two Tangs, one Achilles and one Powder Blue purchased at the same time. 5 years , in together with Yellow Tangs that I’ve had roughly 8 years

My eldest (and first) fish is a Yellow tang(10 yrs). He is the boss. If you don't believe him he will roll up all slow...and...bust you in the face w/ his tail - POW! Just ask the engineer goby. He knows.

A quick cell phone pic of my Copperband, who is now in a holding tank waiting on me to finish my build. I put it in my 140 in 2007, so about 11 years old. The tang in the picture is only a pup at 4 years old.
Sorry no pics but I had a 14 yr old sohal tang who was about as big as my size 13 shoe. He truly was a pet. When I would walk through my fish room to feed him every night he would see me coming through the side of the tank. He would then go to the surface, lift his head out of the water to watch me get close and do a fast flip with his tail fin and try to soak me. He was successful many times causing me to have to change my shirt. The neighborhood kids who tank sat for me when traveling would get it too. Unfortunately he jumped to his death one day while I was at work when I sent a text to my wife about his untimely death her first comment was he better not be going down the toilet, not that he could fit. He was given a proper burial beside my dog in the woods behind our house. IMO they are one of the most beautiful fish for tanks.
