Well I wanted to know what's the your oldest fish?
I have read hear and here some people have had fish 5 years but how long do fish really live?
Clown louch (fresh water fish) live for about 25 years.

My oldest fish is my velimigi tang.
I got him the size of a quarter.
He has lived though a tank splitting open and only have 2 inches of water to swim in for over a day
He's made it though 4 tank moves.
And he's only 2 years old. He's about 5 inches long.
Don't worry I have an 8ft long 300 he will go into once I move and he's bigger

If u have pics post them please
Thanks

Larry my female Aussie black perc. I know she is at least 6 years old. I have had for 3.

Three ~9 year old oscellarius clowns.
Got them as a trio in 2004 that turned into a pair with a subordinate male who all hang out in the same little clump of paly's.

8 year old desarjini tang.

I had a mated pair of Clarkiis for about 12 years --- sold them when I get sick and tired of all their digging, which annoyed the S. haddoni.

Currently, my golden algae blenny is just over 5 years in my care.

When I first received it,

Mrfresh, I had one too... He was 8 1/2 years old, then i had to take my tank down and Sold him, actually had about 17 fish that were that old in that tank.... Sad Day!

I have three fish that are going on 9 years in the same tank; a Maroon Clown

and two female Blue Devil Damsels. That photo was taken in 2008. The dirty look implies, "Get me a bigger anemone or I'll take a chunk out of your wife." Which eventually did happen.

I had a purple tang for almost 6 years before my koralia reversed and murdered him, my saddest day in reefing...

The larger fireclown will be 20 this year and the smaller one will be about 16, they are spawning. These watchman gobies died at either 10 or 12 (I forget) but they spawned for most of that time. This pair of hermit crabs were in my tank for 13 years ,

I killed this mandarin at about 8 years old.

All of these fish are part of my original stock when I started 5 years ago and still going strong:

Yellowtail Damsel - (Cycled the tank with him)
Sailfin Tang
Scopas Tang
Pink Spotted Watchman Goby
