I'm just curious as to what everyone's TDS levels in their city or well water. I live on Cherokee country Georgia's city water supply and only have 30 TDS on my tap. Anyone else curious?

I live in the Florida Panhandle. Our water out of the tap is awful. It smells bad and I do not drink it. I tested the TDS one day...480 PPM!! After the filter on my fridge it’s still 140 PPM! Yuck! RODI unit does great and takes it down to 0!

Well I'm glad you've got a way to clean that junk out lol. Thanks for adding to the survey of sorts!

I managed to start a poll a little while ago with the same topic....:)

I’m in Chicago water out the tap Is 140 tds and I drink it with ice

Seems like at least the majority of people have decent water. I cast my vote on there as well :)

Seconding Chicago suburbs, just tested my tap water and it was 145.

30 is exceptionally good for tap water.

Orem Utah, 250ppm from the tap. Pressure is about 65psi which is an issue with my large system so I only get about 95% rejection, the booster pump I'd need is more expensive than my unit so I make do, 12 out of membranes into dual resin canisters, going to be one big canister soon.

Well water, about 230... Tastes great tho, no unpleasant smells or taste at all. Rodi takes it to zero.

Arizona - Tap water TDS is 590 - 600. After adding dual DI, it is 30. Now I am thinking of adding another DI probably for 0.

I got booster pump at 75 psi as well...so yeah!!!

Usually about 150 from Cincinnati water.

Well water. This spring it was over 1300! It used to be 450. Now I’m curious so I’ll have to test it again. We have a heavy duty treatment system that uses salt so I suspect a lot of my TDS is softener salt. I tested it with my refractometer and it was at 5.

ETA: Just tested at 583. I was using a 4 stage RODI and it brought it to 0 when the water was at 450. When it went way up, I could only get it to 5. I added another DI canister to get it to 0.

Something doesn’t seem right there - should have been lower coming out if everything was working properly. Maybe you need a new membrane or a better block for chloramines (if it’s city water).

It’s not the TDS count that means bad, it’s what makes up that TDS count, some good, some bad for reefs anyways. Since we can’t determine what’s good TDS and Bad, we remove everything and put back only what we need for reefs.
Toronto Canada, 145TDS.
