Your thoughts on aquarium sharks?

I have a Rainbow shark in my 150 with some very large cichlids, smaller cichlids and giant danios. He's never attacked anyone, but can definitely hold his own. He hangs out with my Jack Dempsey most of the time.

From what I've read about rainbow sharks, they are much less likely to be aggressive if they have plenty of room, possibly even doing well in social groups in a tank the size of yours or larger.

Nice fishes in your picture!

Rainbow sharks are for more docile than Red tailed sharks and both of them do okay as long as there aren't more of their kind, or fish that resemble them. They are territorial with fish that look similar to them.

That sounds cool!

Rainbow sharks are kind of like Bettas in many way. Some are extremely aggressive, while others are very laid back. I think part of the thing that makes then so aggressive, is that shops will put 3 or 4 of them in the same tank. This will cause life long aggression, and I hate to see it.

My rainbow was the tank boss. He did as he pleased…and then he got too close to the kribs guarding their fry. Never mess with a breeding cichlid.

I never knew there was a fw shark till this day. Nice call page one, ganges shark, id have lost betting all on red 44 spin.

Ok

I'll have no tankmayes with the thing, unless I can find a huge fish to put with it if I end up getting a bigger pond. I love axis.
Axolotls hate any form of company they cannot eat, the prefer to be left alone.
