Yuma & FL ric Eye candy thread...

Wow a lot of nice Ricordeas indeed. My Yuma did produce babies but the fish nibbled on them and they did not make it. Then the other Yuma I have split a piece of its pedal disc which grew into a new Yuma that is now about 1 inch across and doing well. You can see more of it in the article section on Nano Reefs where I wrote an article on them and added some pictures for all to see. Those Ricordeas are great and easy to keep (btw I feed mine just about every day).

I read your article you wrote a few days ago about the joys of having ricodea yumas. It was a great read and I learned that feeding them helps. I started spot feeding and they 'fatten' up quickly.

Looking good and they should get bigger if you feed them a bit like every 2 or 3 days ... There is an article on them in the Nano Reef Article Library with more info if you have not seen it yet ..

Yes IME feeding them makes them grow faster and also throw off babies faster than they would do IME versus not feeding them. Happy reefing !

Here are some of mine waiting to be attached to the tower I built yesterday ;)

Looking good indeed and if you feed them they will grow faster IME

Anything in particular you would recommend? Currently I feed my tank Brightwell Reef Snow, Continuum's Micro Blast, 1 cube PE Mysis and a 1/2 cube each of San Francisco's saltwater Multi-Pack. I mix it all together usually and attempt to target feed but have never had them "Grab" anything I could visually see. Do you think they would pull enough out of the column or should I try something else ;)
