Yuma Mushroom Dance

I got this Yuma Mushroom yesterday and it seems to be opening and closing like this pretty frequently and decently fast. I.e every 10-15 minutes it opens then closes then stays open for a while then repeats. Parameters are good except my nitrate is around 3 which may be too high for it? Never had a mushroom what do you think ? Just normal mushroom stuff?

I have it placed under a ledge where just the outside tip gets some light, at the bottom of the tank, pretty slowish flow.

Ok thank you, any tips for these guys as it is my first mushroom? I heard Yumas can be a little persnickety?

Some I've attached to rocks, others in the sand at the base of rocks. I keep them on either side of the tank. Only lost one but it got goni stung I thing. I like shrooms a lot. I have yuma, bounce, rodactis. Hairy, forest fire, rics, etc...

Get some ricordia floridia for the middle of the tank. They can handle moderate light and flow. Not expensive and all different colors.

I think if this Yuma does well for a few weeks I will try a flordia, i originally wanted a florida but they only had yuma and i liked the look so I am trying it out. I hope it does well. Still looks pretty happy at day 3 which isnt much but it is something!
