Yesterday, everything was fine. Today, my YWG is laying on the bottom, barely moving and not eating. I've had him for 2 years. No additions to the tank in over 6 months at all.

Here is a picture, can anyone help?

hi any other probs in tank, have you checked paramiters, best wishes for the little guy

Thanks @fishguy242, no other problems in the tank. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, temp 78f, sg 1.026. Other fish are fine, eating and swimming. All coral are fine.

good news/bad news,wish the best

Picture is kinda dark on this end. But for unknown illness, I usually place the fish in a QT with Furan2. Lots of O2, dimmed lights, and hope for the best.

Thanks, would try to get another picture, but he is hiding now. Can see his tail moving, just can’t see the rest.

Any idea what the white areas on him would be? In the picture, it looks a little blue, but it is white.

White areas should always be viewed with suspicion. Most likely a bacterial infection if you have not added any new critters (fish, inverts, corals) in the last 30 days or so.

Here's Humblefish's complete description and treatment for bacterial infections:

Update.....

24 hours later and the YWG is looking better. The white is still there, but fading. He still hides a lot, but has come out to eat a little.

Still in the DT. Looks like his immune system may be taking care of it. Don't have a QT tank, so this was my only option. All other fish look great.:)

Here's some more help for your fish's immune system. Highly recommend:
