ZERO coralline algae?

Been up since may. Be sure to read the whole post- this tank by all means now other than coralline is established and the chemistry is just fine.

TBH I think now that there literally just never was any coralline algae spores introduces.
It took my tank 6 months before any coraline began to show, and that was only after buying a frag that had some on it. This was with live rock in the sump and garfs grunge. Tank is about a year old and now I am battling coraline on the back glass, but it still dosent cover the rock 100%, closer to 40%

+1 with my friend above. Make sure if you get a frag or anything encrusted with Coralline Algae that it is not exposed to air as it will die off. Release it from the container in its water. It would hurt to scrape some of the C.A. off submerged in the water of the DT allowing it to spread through the water column and attach to rocks, glass and such.

'Purple Up' will not produce Coralline Algae and I intentionally experimented with it with no results whatsoever. I've heard another brand (don't recall the name) but know nothing on that brand.
It will hurt or help to scrap off some of the CA submerged in the water of the DT to allow it the spread through the water column?

I have none and desire none by simply dosing at 65% od recommended CA/Alk

Sorry...meant to write would NOT hurt...argh

If none on your rock you could even scrape some off a coral plug which may have soe encrusted on it. Never hurts to give it a try.
