Just saw your thread, I bought two of them in June and finally got around using one of them the other one is like being saved for future use. The model is z8, which means you don't need that little Wi-Fi device that sold separate. It's built into the light now you don't need Wi-Fi from a router it hooks up directly to your phone or a tablet and I love it. Simple to program and operate.
I could have bought one of the other types that is also expensive but I like the retro look

I used to use UFOs but the connectivity was terrible and I switched to hydra 26s which had much more controllability. They aren't bad lights, just not one of my favorites although very sleek design. ~Shaun K.

I have 2 of the new model (Z8), everything is in the light now. Control straight from phone, tablet..... Happy with them.

Yeah I had the ZE8300 with the app, just not much control in light channels and connectivity issues. You can control them just couldn't get the hue i wanted. ~Shaun K.
