Zinc dosing

Anyone else doing this? My recent ICP showed no detectable zinc. I know that does not necessarily mean 0 zinc but it recommended dosing 2ml per day. I was a little apprehensive because I have no way of testing it as I'm dosing along. I decided just to do one 2ml dose per week in between water changes. So after a month of weekly doses, I saw very noticeable color improvement on my SPS. Even my yellow SPS is bright yellow now and I'm seeing accelerated new growth in the tank also. I can't say for certain it's the zinc dosing but sure seems like it. Just wanted to share my observations.

It's one of those things I never really paid much attention to but there are some well known reefers doing it.
