Zoa’s and hermit crabs

my hermit crabs bother my zoa’s that I have on a rack in the sand...I’m not sure if they are eating them but they seem to be slowly desimating them...any help?

Hermits and crabs in general can become pretty nasty so I only keep them in my refugium
