I have quite a few Z & P's in my tank( prolly over 100 different morphs ) I'm addicted, what can I say, lol.
I'm just curious what everybody else does to supplement and or feed there Z & P's? All of mine a heathy and growing very well but always looking to step my game up. Please share your tips on feeding/supplementing of your tank.

I don't feed my zoas. I feed my fish and the fish poop feeds my corals.

That's what I've always done as well but I've also added reef energy A & B. Do you add anything like that, what you feel will add to the heath of your Z&P's? Because let's face it, your doing something right my friend, lol.

You can buy like a fine brine shrimp or other food and turn of your sump pump but leave on your wave makers and let a lot of shrimp float around for 30 minutes. You will notice the heads should start to close. That's when you know that have got some food.

I do this as I feed the coral in the tank, been using LPS max and everything seems to love it. I'm guess I'm already doing the things that most of us do and have success. I guess I'm just curious what everyone else is doing. Z&P's are by far my favorite when it comes to coral. I'm just always looking for different ways and to hear how others succeed and what their methods are.

The only other thing i would say is become really picky about the forgotten elements like idine, phosphate, strontium. If you don't already test these these elements can really boast growth and make colors more vibrant.

I use all of Red Sea's test kits including the colors and dose accordingly

Sounds like you got everything covered then, that I know of.

Josh, do you add iodine? Thought I saw that somewhere

I used to but I forget lol. Thanks for reminding me! But I haven't added any to my tanks for months and everything is doing great. Water changes and keeping parameters steady is the best advice.

Have you noticed any good results with the Reef Energy A & B, and for how long have you been dosing it? Because recently I just bought my combo of Reef Energy and started dosing to my tank with the hope of getting a faster growth.

I've been using reef energy A&B for about 2 years now. The number 1 thing I've noticed is the colors of all my corals. Before using it my colors were ok, some better than others but when using A&B they are very vibrant and better IMO. On the Growth, not sure if it makes things grow ''faster'' but I do get good growth in all my tanks. I dose every night, I run low nutrient systems with No3 at 0 so I feel it's good to dose every night. If No3 was ''higher'' I probably would dose 3 times or so a week. I really do it cause it turns my tanks into a ''glow box'' jk, lol but it does, really.

Ok so I used reef snow tonight and I deff get a feeding response from the palys. Along with other corals too!

I feed my true palythoas (playthoa grandis) big coral pellets, they're fatties!

This has been good to read. I've wondered the same thing about my Z&P. I got some A&B a few months back and started to mix it in with the foods I use. I too, notice a better color response. I have also been using Azox more often. Everything goes good crazy for Azox.
