Zoa attached to snail!?

Hi All Sorry, no picture, but I was just looking at the tank as the lights were going down. I swear I saw a single zoa polyp attached to the rear end of a nassarius snail. Anyone seen that before?! I guess that is one way for Zoe’s to spread.
 
I don’t think so. I think it would take quite a while for a loose zoathid to attach. It can be possible though

You are obviously right, but I have good eyesight! I will keep a close eye on that snail.
 
Id say not impossible but more like improbable. The snail would have to sit in one spot for days if not weeks then be strong enough to break the mat connecting to the rest of the colony. Maybe a snail died or was killed, the zoa grew on the shell and a hermit took the shell?
 
Definitely a nassarius .. definitely good eyesight … definitely saw the 2 colours of one of my zoa’s …definitely looking for this tonight…
