We bought these zoas a couple months ago. They went through some trauma a few weeks after we got them because our red leg hermits were trying to eat reef roids off of the zoas and were pinching their tissue by accident. They closed up super tight for what seemed to be the longest time and a few died off and left little bubble cases. Now it’s been a while and they are happy again! Yay! The strange thing is that the bubbles are getting bigger. Is this normal?

Palys and zoas ime handled quite well treating outside the tank with peroxide. I removed what i could with a razor and the others i used an eye dropper to put peroxide on. If i did again i would probably substitute the eyedropper for a syringe with a hollow metal tube and inject the bubbles for even more control.

This is the one algae i have never been able to control with nutrient level intervention.

Omg thank you guys! I had no idea! Thought it was like the shell of the dead zoas! I watched a few videos on removal and just used some tweezers to pull off the whole colony! Here’s some pics
