I have been struggling with this is our opening up only one polyp has opened up. Recently I notice that The ones that have been closed up are starting to turn greenish/yellow. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for me to fix this. My parameters are listed below. All parameters that aren’t listed are in normal range. Thanks in advance

I would just brush them off with a CLEAN make up brush. Learned that from tidal gardens video a while ago and been doing it since.

I do this as well, but since the algae is on the actual polyp I would prefer the dip. I’ve damaged zoas trying to brush them so if there’s algae on the polyps I dip. Works very well if there’s algae on a coral skeleton/frag plug though! I like using eyebrow brushes/spoolies because they’re stiff and very small so I can get way in there

Your right I would try the dip first and then if the algea still doesnt come off in a few days mabye carefully brush them.

I would brush first and if it is not coming off, then dip. That type of film algae normally will brush right off. When I do dip for this type of film algae, I will use either CoralRx or Revive and brush them in the dip, then rinse. I save the peroxide dips for the hair algae.
I have this happen now and then and I use an artist brush with soft bristles about 1/2" long. I have a couple hundred zoa frags that I inspect daily and there are usually 3 or 4 that need a good brushing.

Agree with @footgal, I use peroxide dip when this is an issue. You may want to try a turkey baster to blow it off of the polyps as well. I would also check your PO4 and Nitrates that are causing the algae to grow.

I tried the H2O2 dip mentioned above on a frag of zoas covered in algae just for fun to see if it would work...and it did! The algae disappeared over a few days and zoas even began spreading at a faster rate! So, I'm sold on this treatment.

1:4 ratio hydrogen peroxide to tank water dip

so 1 cup H2O2 and 5 cups tank water. But you can scale it down to tablespoons or something because I don’t really think you need that much for just one frag :)
How long do you keep yours in the peroxide dip for?

Peroxide dip for sure. Don't do peroxide dip and a brush, you don't want to agitate more than needed. Make sure everything bus closed before dipping

Hey everyone thanks for advice. I ended up doing a quick peroxide dip. I still have some algae on them but def looks a lot better already. Next step will be to brush off in few days so I don’t shock them hitting it with stuff all at once.

I'd leave them be and only brush if you think they need it in a couple of days. When I have done peroxide in the past my zoas have shed their outer membrane and then came back like new afterwards. If anything turkey baster them or run water over them with a powerhead momentarily to help remove any lingering algae.
