So I noticed this tube on the bottom of a zoa. I hopped it was the zoa growing problem or safe?

Looks like Clove or perhaps Xenia. Wait and watch.

The zoa is on a plug with cloves. So must be new clove growth. As long as it's not a pest. Just the best view I have had with the zoa completely closed. Figure it will open in am

I figure that the cloves might overwhelm the zoa. But I'm too scared to try and remove the zoa. And get poisoning
Wear gloves and super glue the little bugger. Just take the proper precautions and wear ppe gear. You'll be ok. Healthy respect is warranted

I handle Zoas all the time and you do not need to worry as long as you wear gloves and googles. Always rinse your hands after you handle them

Ok I get some more cloves and zoa's Thursday. I'll have to dip and add to the tank but have frag supplies next week so I'll frag the zoa on its own plug and put in the beginning of the zoa garden.

Cloves for sure and inject within its stem, some kalkwasser mixed into a thin paste and it will melt away
