Zoa closes up without light

i just received a WWC Funny D this morning and put it right into quarantine. I have a heater, powerhead, HOB filter and the only light I have on hand is a cheap hardware store steel reflector with a plant bulb. I turned that on and 30 mins later the Zoa opened up and was open all day while the light was on. About 20 mins after I shut the light off it closed up again. Is that pretty common after shipping for it to close up without light?

Yes, they open and close depending on light and out water chemistry changes. Some more sensitive than others.
