Hey guys,

I had a nice, small bed of zoas on top of my rock here, and as you can see, they've all closed up.

If you can see the frag plug in the middle, they used to be all over that, but now they're mostly gone.

The only changes that have been made in the tank were the new zoa colony you see to the left, which was added about 3 weeks ago, and a torch coral added about 2 weeks ago. When I got the torch I adjusted the flow a little as well.

Any thoughts? I've never seen this happen before...

I feel these don’t get good water movement, flow and filtration. Just my opinion. I’ve seen some local reefers struggle with HOB filter set ups. Not that they’re wrong, just makes it harder.

I have a pump to get better water flow

Parameters? How long as the tank been up for? How's the torch?
