ZOA colony looking BAD!…Help please :(

Hi everyone!
I am a new tank owner and new to the forum. I have had my tank up and running for the last few moths and have added coral slowly.

my first coral ended being a colony of zoas, mushrooms and clove polyps. Over the last month my zoas seem to have lost there color, began getting small/mishaped and looks like some are disintegrating away. I am unsure as to what the problem may be since my parameters are all within normal range. Could someone please lead me in the right direction as to what could be the issue.

I also have a hammer coral, green goniopora, GSP which all seem to be doing okay.

What EXACTLY are your parameters? Post all your numbers, as well as water movement and lighting.

The small patches of closed zoas in the middle may just be suffering from low flow, blasting them with a turkey baster every other day or so will keep detritus from collecting and may help prevent zoa pox.

If it were low nitrates I'd imagine more of the colony would be affected.

Its probably a bacterial infection. Colonies like this are Maricultured, and have a habit of developing these infections. An iodine dip would help here and see if recovery helps in a day or two.

If the goni is doing well, than parameters arent the issue, that would be the first coral to go.
