Out of curiosity, do you ever put zoas back in the wild? I'm not judging or anything here - I'm more curious if it's even possible and, if so, what the success rates would be/are.

Since starting my tank, I've often thought, "Whelp, if things go really bad, at least some of us are ready to re-seed the ocean..."

Awesome stuff, BTW. Makes me want to get out there and dive the Philippines even more than I already did!

yes I have been seeding other reefs with my zoas, and other morphs from local hobbyists. Would be taking pics of those grown colonies back in the wild. I hve been encouraging many reefers here to let me return their excess frags back in the wild..

Hi to all, I'm a zoa diver from the Philippines. Collecting small frags from the wild and propagating them on my tanks.
Sorry I'm not IDing my zoas anymore as there are so many types out there. Hope you all appreciate how a reefer like me from across the Pacific enjoy our hobby :becky:

How awesome is that. "I'm just going to go out diving and find some new beautiful zoanthids" :-) I'm Totally Jealous

I'd love to see more photos/videos of them in the wild! I am a diver myself but I am not able to make it out into the Philippines
