Zoa dominate tank light schedule.

I have a 25 gallon lagoon. With two ai primes(not HD’s) have been running the same light cycle for awhile now and not getting much growth(some growth) or pop(no pop) in colors what would y’all recommend I try. Also no deaths or melts, 14 different zoas, and a pink rose bubble tip. If you have a light file that works great for you please share. But here is a picture of my light schedule. All are welcome to post and share their own.

Blues- peak at 75%
Cool white- peak at 15%

Zoas are some of the most least demanding species in the hobby.

Have you ever kept any LPS? I'd consider doing that.

I was looking to pick up my first LPS at RAP in April here in Florida. What do you recommend for my first?

Probably a euphilia or acanthastrea. Both are forgiving but euphilia less.

How many fish and how much/what do you feed?

I would slowly increase over all peak intensity.
Those lights aren’t that powerful.

Your not using any of the rest of the spectrum either , further lowering the power of the Lights.

I have two percula clowns, a diamond goby and a pink rose tip anemone. I feed the clowns cobalt flake, they also get the original complete reef rods blend thy I feed the anemone. The zoas I use reef energy coral nutrition once a week. They also get coral frenzy which I just started. They don’t seem to like rods coral blend. I spot feed each of the zoa colony’s with a turkey baster.

What would you recommend I go up to? I have started a little experiment this Saturday and put different zoas at different heights to see how they react.

Honestly you are not running a lot of light. I have several zoas about 10 inches directly underneath kessil 360's and they do great. I agree with what was said above

Lights should be plenty sufficient. I'd bet it has more to do with nutrients, lack there of. Add a fish or 2. Or broadcast reef roids a couple times a week and you'll start to see things take off.

Which rods would you recommend? Also since it is only a 25 gallon lagoon “for now” what fish would be a good add? Also what are your thoughts on Coral Frenzy. I really appreciate all the input. Thank you.

How old is the tank? How long have you had these zoas?
Sometimes zoas take a little time before they start growing. Also, they do better in systems with higher nitrate levels.

Ill second this one they like some nutrients to work with. It goes beyond just lighting. Check out red seas accelerated growth reccomendations compared to coloration chart.

The tank is over a year old. I got some in April at RAP, May online(in store pickup), and June online (in store pickup). I understand they like “dirty” water, but didn’t know how well I could manage that.
