very impressive Josh. My zoas sure suck right now, and I don't know what's going on. Do you ever have melting or going black issues with some of your colonies? If you do how to you address it?

Also can't seem to find an equipment list. Skimmer, circulation, refugium, etc?

Do you feed your tank besides the fish?

melting all the time I try to move them either to one of my frag tanks or to my son's tank.
Going black or nay type of fungus I use furan 2 to dif for 3 days search the furan 2 dip method. I can move 90% of my colonies and they're not directly on the rock but elevated from it.
Skimmer corallife 125 crappy lol.
2 tunze 6095 in wave mode
Fuge is a 15g tank with cheato and culerpa some miracle mud with 1/2 of sand on top that gravity feeds to the wetdry that came with my tank.

cool thanks for sharing. I am trying to get my hands on some furan2, it's not currently available in the province where I live so I have to be creative.

I have to stop buying chalices, so I can finally buy the 105mm vr.

By the way, how are you able to take pictures with blue led's on and just have the colors on the coral pop out?

When I take pics with blue led's on, the whole picture is nothing but blue.

I am using a Nikon d90.

I put them to the side in a corner away from the led where its not as potent. ISO 800, aperture 10-14 with new lens it let's me go up to 18 without being too dark. And f40. My white balance its on flash. Ohhhhh LOL I have a NIKON 5100 a lot of my pics were with the 60mm macro

I'll have to rent a 105mm next week and try out your specs.

I normally shoot in aperture mode so I don't have to adjust too many settings, but I will definetly try out your settings.

I will have to try a bit higher iso and see what it does for me. I also have the 5100 using a tamron 90mm macro though.

That tamron 90 is very good. When i use mh or use white and blue leds I lower the ISO to 400

You could do it with your G12 also. Almost exactly the same as what he said.

I could never figure out where the aperture was on the camera but you're absolutely right. I was just having a little fun, the G12 is an amazing camera but is a point and shoot, so I can still call it one! :bigsmile: I'm just having fun is all, not complaining.

Your pics are really good. It seems you use a better camera when i see them.

Main tank 3 250w metal halides with vho. But the utter chaos were in my Frag tank with 3w leds
