I have some sunflower zoa that have been slowly withering away the last 2 weeks. Not sure whats wrong and don't have test kits so I know all this is a shot in the dark. No other zoa are doing bad, even ones on the same rock, just the sunflowers.

I would check for zoa-eating nudibranches. Have had the same thing happening in my tank a couple of months ago... They started spreading over other zoanthid colonies after a few weeks. Easiest is to look for them during the night when polyps are closed up. You can easily see the adult ones and the eggs which look like white spots.

Got rid of them using freshwater dips

Look closely at zoas or underneath plugs for any Black bugs, eggs, etc.
Zoa do best in blue dominant lighting with good (not strong flow) and iodine and iron present in the water. Sometimes mulm (dust) can irritate them, and blowing them off with a turkey baster can be of benefit.

When I had issue, discovered bugs and also . I also discovered large asterina stars in their vicinity, Once removed, the zoas Have recovered.
Any angels, butterflies or peppermint shrimp in tank ?

Did a fresh dip with a few bigger colonies and some stuff came off but dunno if anything is dangerous. Looks like feather duster bodies some sand a vermited snail body heres a pic and its kinda a shot in the dark again but if anyone wants to check it and see if they happen to see anything
