So my nice Fire and Ice zoa seems to be dead/dying. Slowly the polyps haven't been opening till there was just one left and then it closed up shop. It seems more closed up than usual (can't see anything sticking out)

I know sometimes corals will just kind of sleep for a while, is this the case? Or is it time to pry that frag disc off?

I will add that my snails really seem to like to scavenge on my zoas

Hard to tell everything around it looks good but just for background what are your tank parameters. I hate to use the term “dirty” but zoas and other softies tend to like higher levels of nutrients.

From tetra quick strips:

Nitrates: 20
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
alk: greater than 120 lower than 180
ph: 7.8

It's not coming back unless you do something. As soon as I lost one polyp I would have pulled the plug and dipped in 50/50 mix of 3% peroxide and tank water for a couple min. That usually always works for my zoas. I also move them to lower light after the dip. Not sure of the logic behind that move though :)

I'll be popping that off tonight and giving a peroxide dip a try
