Ok, new topic. Zoa eating nudie brancs. I have read a lot of things about how to get rid of them. What say you? I have tried many different dips, and I have removed them and their eggs manually. What works for you? What have you tried that works, and what doesn't work?

never knew about them till you told me the other day.. and have not seen any that I know of in my tanks however I could barely see the ones you were plucking

Still waging war on those dirty little buggers! I am trying to come up with some thing that will take them out! Anyone have any ideas?

A fresh water dip every few days for about 3-5 minutes kills adults. Doing it every few days for a week or so should take care of eggs that hatch later on.

lol you n this grumbling bout them caused me a scare.. the other night when I got home from the meeting I went to put the new zoa's in my tank and had something crawl off one onto my hand n freak me out while I was on the top rung of my ladder no less.. I looked at it and it had like a green shell like back but looked like a snail but thanks to our discussions I jumped off ladder n tossed thing into the toilet.. then I thought and went wait that could not have been a zoa eating nudi.. it was a shellless snail lol..

Be careful of Zoa toxins while fresh water dipping. Wear gloves and make sure the discard water doesn't get into your eyes or any cuts. I speak from experience.

Good to know. I had read about some reefers using Flatworm X. I am not to sure of this. This releases toxins as well I think. Hum...so far trying mix of Coral RX, Iodine and Melacite Green. Still scraping off eggs.

Well, to date fresh water dip is winning! Thanks again. I am doing it every other day. Works great...no chemicals needed!! That is my favorite part.

Feel like I am finally making progress on the war against darn nudie brancs! Lots of work, and still fresh water dipping, but it is really making a difference.

No, the Zoa are the ones that I am fresh water dipping. They all seem to come back out just fine. After the dip I place them right back into the tank. I also manually remove or puncture the egg sacks that I find. Then dip into the fresh water. It seems to be working very well. So far so good. Give it a try and let me know what you think? That is if you ever need to...lol

Awesome! I did not even know a six line would go after them! He is next addition to my tank then! lol
