I have some amazing coral frags. i recently bought a frag from a not so great lfs and when a day after i popped it in noticed the nudis on them now a few days later all of my zoas are closed and some are missing pieces.
Yesterday I FW dipped them for 5 minutes today some are open but not all of them
please help whats the best way to get rid of them???
i see the egg sacks on the zoa mats. can i FW dip everyday or is that too much?
I reallyyyyyy dont want to lose all of my beautiful zoa frags please help!!!
also how long can they live in my tank? if they get dis attached from the zoa do they survive swimming around the tank or do they need to be on a zoa to survive?
im just afraid that if i FW dip and kill them all they can get new ones once i put them back in the tank (possibly ones swimming around)
Has anyone successfully gotten rid of them???

use some revive to dip them. Then you are going to have to manually scrape of the eggs one by one... It sucks but that is going to be the only way to get rid of them. When you see them in the tank suck them out with a turkey baster

Get them ready 1 gallon of saltwater from your tank put in small dipping Bucket
Use coral rx 1 cap
Use flatworm exit 4 drops
With powerhead
Repeat every 4 days
For 2 weeks you won't have a problem again
Do all zoas in your tank
Get a quarintine tank 10 gallons for when you bring new stuff home and do the above set for any zoas/plays you bring home

Geat recipe. Thanks for sharing. I remove the eggs with a qtip. For the nudis i just shake the frags on fresh water. Daily inspections with a blue led flashlights to help find the nudis.

Does flatworm exit kill the nudis? Only thing i found that kills them is bayer.

This dip will take 30 minutes but no longer than 50 min and will kill just about everything that is on or in the coral, however it will not kill the eggs.
Mela_Fix.jpg
Start with a container of tank water with a known volume, to this you will add 10ml of MelaFix per gallon, if you are using the concentrated version of MelaFix(comes in the one gallon jugs) this would be 2ml per gallon. It is best to have a small circulation pump or air stone to gently mix the water, you may also need a small heater to maintain temperature. A small piece of egg-crate plastic on the bottom of the container would also be useful to allow an area for the slime and junk to settle. You should also have an old clean tooth brush to clean areas where there is no living coral tissue, or even better, take a dremel tool and cut off or shave off the surface of any dead areas within 1 inch of the living tissue. Pay close attention to the joints in the branches of the coral for any dead areas, if needed break a few branches in the center to get a better view. Removing these inner branches will also help bring better flow into the coral. After the 30minuts are up gently shake swirl any excess slime and debris from the coral then you should let the coral sit for a minute or two in a separate container of tank water to remove/dilute excess medicated water that is stuck to the coral. Also it is normal for the coral to have the odor of the melafix. Now it is safe to place coral into the tank. If it was a coral that has been growing for some time in the system then it is best to fit it back exactly where it came from. If you are planning on re-aquascaping it is best to wait a week or two for the coral to fully regain its energy.
Precautions:
* Do not dip in a location such that the solution can drip or accidentally dump into the main system!
* If you are going to be dipping many pieces it is good idea to wear gloves.
* Most Acropora and Montipora will recover just fine however special care should be given to fine branching corals like echinata and Turaki, and all other corals where the branches are 1/8" or thinner. I would not dip these species for longer than 20min.
* If a day or two after the dip you notice the coral tissue starting to peel off the skeleton it is best to move the coral to a lower light, lower flow area till the tissue loss stops.

Garrets Acropolis this works wonders and very effective

Actually catch a nubi put in a cup with water from your tank then put one drop of flatwormexit in the cup and they start to die watch the magic

Blue zoo aquatics says that Malachite Green
Really does a number on the eggs but I'm not sure have not tried it but always worth a try

Can someone post a pic of what nudis and their eggs look like?

The eggs are that spiraly looking thing and the nuddy looks like those flower petals. The nudis will look like the color of the zoa they're eating. On that picture they were eating radioactive green zoas so they are green. If they would eat an orange zoa they would be orange. The change colors based on the zoa they eat. The zoas always close when there's nudis on them so look for closed zoos.
