Zoa eating sponges?

Not understanding the question. A sponge that feeds primarily on zoas->not that I know of. However, it can become a problem if the two touch as the zoas would sting the sponge and the sponge (depending on the kind) will release a chemical against the zoas

Just a generic white sponge colony amidst a Zoa colony and it is killing them. I removed as much sponge by tweezers' and blowing it off. It took a toll on the zoas and most of them just disintegrated with the sponge. I had been watching this sponge colony closely and over the months as it grew, the zoas looked worse and worse.

Yeah I have a zoa colony I need to keep an eye on as a sponge grows in between the zoas and if I don't stay on top of it it will choke them out to the point they won't open. I need to peroxide dip them just been lazy
