Long story short, I bought a polyp of PPE, about 3 weeks ago. Do to a acclimation mishap, it has been fighting to stay alive. But it now opens and color is coming back as well as the skirt. Question is, have you ever had a zoa over open? As in pull its skirt down around it? Bad, good? It seems it has gain a bunch of its color back, nice deep purple, it wasn't that dark yesterday. Just wondering if this is something zoas might do for themselves. Thanx, happy reefing, Joe

Yeah, it is bell shaped, didn't know how else to describe it, but that fits perfect. Wonder what stressed it? Can't wait till this thing grows crazy! Lol. Happy reefing. Joe

You know my Stardust PE's are the only ones that do it from time to time but they always look normal after a few mins. Hey Servantsoldier i didn't know you were on here.

yup.

palys are the only ones I've seen do it. I tend to have a couple do it when I go to chopping on them or place them in too much flow.

Yeah, just like that pic. But this morning its all closed up. Hope its ok. I have it I direct flow back from the Skimmer, it had some white fungus I was battling and figured the flow would help it, also I've read that zoas do very well in high flow. Joe
