Pretty unusual for a magician right??
Sure is, the color is stunning! Is it an orange morph

I got dibs on the offsprings![]()

So good! If you ever have too many I’ve got room in my tankI last updated this thread the week before we found our forever home. One final move and 3+ years on here's some of the stuff growing in my zoa garden.
True Leprechauns - I got these from a vendor that shipped them in ziplocks, killed the heat pack, etc. Its been a few months now but they're finally looking better. Also, don't fall for the ASD rebrand, I see them occasionally offer 'OG leprechauns' they're not the same.

ARC Poinsettias - I'm also seeing a lot of poinsettia knock-offs these days. Granted, this pic is dark, but that center should be a nice forest green with no space between it and the red radial barring which is a rich crimson.
![]()
Mesospheres - from my buddy @Grossman90, they apparently grow well and these have been doing great for me.
![]()
CK Soul Suckers - found these from a fellow r2r'er. It took me about 15 months of looking before I could find a nice healthy frag. Glad to have them again.

But oh, those nightmares!
![]()
kākāpō - a wild I've managed to bring to heel.
![]()
Space chaos - shout out the the memory of Mike Bigger, gone but def not forgotten.
![]()
Acid Reflux - these gave me trouble for years lol. But, now there's finally a bullet proof strain.
![]()
These are a black hornet from my guy @mike.penny. I've had them awhile, I haven't seen any more specific name for them.
![]()
Set of three; super girls, morphed fat-ring outkast, and OG wolverines.

The second JF zoa that always gave me issues - Bloodshots. These morphed slightly from when I first recived them but they're doing well. How well? So well that instead of clinging to life they're actually flourishing.
![]()
Another @mike.penny special. This on is, as of yet, unnamed but its a real looker. Photo is pretty dark so some of the details are lost.
![]()
The third JF zoa to give me grief. JF kraks were my white whale for years. But, persistence pays off.
![]()
Got these as wilds, haven't seen anything similar yet. I love the subtle coloring and hues.
![]()
GB Golden Kiwi / WWC Golden Gods - they're just a bright tutti frutti but still nice.

A little over two years ago I saw a single polyp of these in the bottom of a wild bin. It was screwed up and missing much of the skirt. I thought, 'man, if it can be saved that might be something really special.' And here we are. I've dubbed these Bonnie's Bowsers after my mother in law who passed unexpectedly last year. She was a good woman and had always been supportive and interested in my little hobby.

Sticker shocks, reverse halls, flaming brohicans - all the same thing right? Not exactly but I have 2 of the three atm and they're nominally different. These are the sticker shocks.
![]()
Godbeasts are probably one of my more favorite 'new strains' to have come out in the last few years. From a single polyp these have done well for me.
![]()
Like poinsettias I see a certain amount of off-brand illuminati. How do you know if they're the real deal? That white-green mouth and the heavy speckling.
![]()
Gizmos are one that's been flying under the radar but they're pretty. Sort of like if a leprechaun had a baby with a northern light zoa.
![]()
Ah yes the golden leopards - originally GB fantasy aka electric boogaloo. These came over as a single back in early spring. The sister frag did well but fell to a bacterial infection over memorial day weekend. After a lengthy stall these are moving in the right direction. I've also see some vendors playing the name game with golden leopards, don't settle for a poor imitation (and before anyone asks, no, none available but I'm working on it).

Full on mythical at one point a decade ago, ktar hornets have made a come back in a big way. They still don't frag well but they come with that OG smell lol.
![]()
ADG (whoever that is) has a winner with these Miku Freaks. They weren't one I knew I needed until I saw them. Like hallucination zoas the presentation changes as they mature until they finally get those highlights in the mouth. They're an absolute gem!
