Hey guys,

I have a zoa colony that is starting to grow around other corals specifically my Acan.

This is not a good shot because the lights just turned on but once the lights are on fully you can't see the top acan head because the zoa covers it.

What should I do?

Thanks,

I dont' know specifically, but normally this means chemical warfare is begining. If the Achan wins it shouldn't be a big deal, because the zoas just wont spread in that direction.

If you leave it there the acan will sting the zoa and hurt or kill it

Zoas are not as large as palys but nothing stops any paly i own. They grow over everything. They would not actually touch the acan but create enough shade they would die. Once dead they grow onto the skeleton. Even my acan enchinata and a few lords are no match.

These have pretty much been holding the same for a year or so. As stated above, the shaded part of the lower left acan colony did recede from the larger blues, but has not receded any further. If it does, the blues will get trimmed. The King Midas being smaller don't seem to be a problem.
