It looks like a polyp of your Zoa looks like a ballon?
Zoa bounce was a joke.

when the zoas close up does it stay the same?

Yes it looks like a balloon about to pop. It stays blown up that way.

Are you sure that's a zoa? I'm not a coral expert but it looks morel like a lepastrea. Is it completely soft or does it have a hard base?

Does it have a calcium base? zoas are completely soft, no hard base.

They could be ‘yellow polyps’ or Parazoanthus gracilis.
