how do you rationalize the hate?

Zoas are like a cross between dandelions and the Lernaean Hydra, snip one head two more grow in their place. Except it's like a hydra that didn't eat a Snickers, so it's a diva, or hangry, or goofy, or all three.

At least with Acros I know what to expect.

I Am a victim of palytoxin. I was squirted in the eye and now I'm partially blind (that's what she said). :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: I still love Zoas! I still have large colonies in my 200g. I'm just more carful now.

I like zoas but I usually place a frag or small colony onto the rocks and it will fall off and get buried in the sand or pushed under the rocks so haven't been able to grow them out. They are resiliant tho I have like 3 or 4 floating around on the bottom of the sand and they still open up I just can't get them to stay on the dang rocks heh

Yes, for real. In 2003 I was moving coral to a new tank and the Dragon Eye Zo colony spit in my eye. The toxin burned the lens of my right eye and left black spots in my vision. I have 3 black spots the size of a nail head that move with my eye wherever I look. If I didn't wash my eye right away it would have been worse.
