My zoa head is brown. They are rastas. Haven’t opened up yet because they are so new. Did I mess something up?

Looks like it spit its guts, doesn’t look like it’s melting. Did you dip it in anything? How did you acclimate?

Dipped in seachem reef dip. Acclimated for about 30 min. Did the purple monster zoas you see in the pic with them. They all turned out fine

Hard to tell at this point honestly. I would just give it some time and keep an eye on it. Give it time to acclimate.

They look fine to me, a bit upset, but they should be fine. As far as the coloration goes, corals look different under different conditions, under different lighting, and under different stress levels. Corals pretty much never look the same from tank to tank unless the conditions, equipment, and placement are identical. That said most corals, and especially zoas can take a week or two to get back to their normal color and polyp extension after being moved or shipped. The one polyp that looks sort swollen outwards isn’t anything to worry about, zoas will do this from time to time either when disturbed or sometimes just at random, they usually go back to normal within a few hours.
