Zoa Help...what is this?

Hey all, my eagle eye has just started growing this brown stuff on him...any idea what this is..can I treat it, will it hurt him?

Its the brown bushes stuff on the right of my zoa

not very clear from the picture, can be cyano or some sort of algae. Try mechanically removing it , using a soft tooth brush

From the description you gave us and the color it's most likely cyano. You should be able to clean it up with a toothbrush before it spreads. Just make sure it's out of the tank in some container you don't want to spread that thing.
