Hey Guys,

I need help determining what is wrong with my zoas and what steps to solve.

Below is a picture of two of the affected colonies. The one circled in red on the left notice that most of them are not open and doing well. Also notice a hint of a yellowish mucus on some of them towards the bottom

The yellow circle is another colony that seems to also have the yellowish mucus on it as well. That colony doesn't seem to be as devastated as the red though...

Maybe a Furan-2 Dip or a Revive Dip?

Bayer is Best for Pests though.

I can't say 100%, but mine do this when they are not happy with the flow or to a lesser extent lighting.

They get yellowish mucus on them? I would blow it off but I have other colonies I don't want infected if it truly is a pest

Pull them out into a small container and gently remove unwanted material. Same idea in treating for a pest. Recedes any risk of infecting anything else.

I have used Coral Rx and Bayer dip successfully on Zoas with no issues.

Would nt the chalice be stinging them like crazy being that close. Specially at night

It does have crazy sweeper tentacles but they have lived fine next to each other for 4 months. Also the other zoas are not effected and they are down current from it.

Don't rule out that chalice! I had a mummy eye sitting at least an inch and a half (after a sting) next to an acan colony for a year. Well now they are far apart and I had a few damaged acan heads. I've noticed when sweepers want to get somewhere they will grow and grow till they hit what they want. It took a year for the mummy
